Brandon Medenwald

Nominee - North Dakota House of Representatives

Brandon was born in Richland county and raised in Lidgerwood, North Dakota. The oldest of three children, Brandon's parents initially farmed and then owned/operated a successful restaurant in Lidgerwood for 20 years. Brandon is a second-generation small business owner that credits his work ethic and ability to speak with people to his many years working in the family business.

Brandon has resided in Fargo and District 41 since 2004, purchasing a house in District 41 in 2006.

Brandon founded his company, Simply Made Apps, in 2011 right in the basement of his house in District 41 with a $100 bill and a dream. Brandon credits the success of Simply Made Apps to hard work, listening to every customer, and building an environment in which people enjoy working. Moving from North Dakota was never an option for Brandon, always choosing to create jobs and grow the economy right here in Fargo.

Brandon has been leading the fight in North Dakota for Net Neutrality, which ensures no one can slow or censor how North Dakotans use the internet. Brandon also founded North Dakota Open on Sundays to spearhead the effort to overturn the 1889 Blue Laws.

When not running Simply Made Apps or fighting for causes he cares about, you can find Brandon enjoying a round of golf or walking his Yorkshire terrier named Bisou around District 41.
